To mark this milestone, we asked members of our leadership team to reflect on the company’s journey so far, the lessons learned along the way and their perspective on the future ahead.

80 years ago, I Holland pioneered the development of tablet embossing, technology that has since become the global standard. From the very beginning, our guiding principle has been simple: to put the customer first. We do this not only through the quality of our products, but through a deep belief in our purpose, “enriching lives by optimising the production of health‑improving and life‑saving tablets”.

This commitment goes beyond manufacturing excellence. We strive to support our customers on their own terms, offering localised service, invoicing, and transactions in their preferred currencies. Combined with our specialist expertise, responsive customer support, and a culture of continuous innovation, this approach has driven our expansion now into more than 100 countries worldwide, and with only more on the horizon.

Reaching 80 years as a manufacturing business is a remarkable milestone, and one that reflects the ability to continually adapt and move with the times. At I Holland, we’ve seen, and embraced, huge leaps in technology, from the early days of computerisation and CNC machining through to today’s advances in global connectivity, heat treatment and the development of hobbing. The pace of change has been extraordinary; what would have taken a month to produce years ago can now be achieved in a day. Alongside this, we’ve continued to invest in and expand our shopfloor, often finding ways to increase capacity within the same footprint, while advancing our design and measurement capabilities to stay at the forefront of the industry.

What has remained constant throughout is the enthusiasm of our people. The teamwork, dedication and commitment of everyone who has contributed to I Holland over the years is what truly defines the business. It’s a real privilege to be part of a company with such a strong heritage. Acknowledging our past while maintaining the agility to adapt to new trends and pursue opportunities at pace is fundamental to our continued success.
