General Operator – Finishing

 

The successful candidate should have:

  • Previous experience of polishing tools with the appropriate polishing equipment
  • Basic understanding of inspection, have a good eye for detail
  • Be able to visually detect faults
  • Duties will include preparing and polishing tools and setting and running machinery/equipment

 

Hours of work : AM (6am to 2pm) and PM (2pm to 10pm), Friday (6am to 1pm) and (1pm to 8pm)

The Company reserves the right to make reasonable alterations to the contract, including altering or transferring to other patterns of work.

 

Shift premium and Pay – The starting rate for this position is £10.25 per hour, representing 95% of the starting rate for this position. On successful completion of the probationary period the hourly rate will increase to £10.79 per hour plus an average of 18% shift premium for this work pattern.

General Operator – Shaped Tip Grinding

 

The successful candidate should have:

  • Good experience of CNC machining (setter/operator level through to ideally editing gained preferably through an apprenticeship scheme).
  • Previous experience of grinding operations (particularly profile grinding) is desirable and applicants must be able to contribute to on-going developmental improvements within the area.                       

 

Due to the nature of the shifts the successful applicant must be capable of working unsupervised, be able to use their own initiative to solve problems and self motivated to meet the necessary targets on output and quality. The ability to work as part of a flexible team will also be required in this role.

 

Hours of work:

Monday to Thursday AM (6am to 2pm) and PM (2pm to 10pm), Friday (6am to 1pm) and (1pm to 8pm)

Shift Premium and Pay:

The starting rate for this position is £10.66 per hour, representing 95% of the starting rate for this position. On successful completion of the probationary period the hourly rate will increase to £11.22 per hour plus an average of 18% shift premium for this work pattern.
