The Position

I Holland implements a solution model, working closely with our customers and agents to identify and resolve issues in the tablet production process, addressing manufacturing challenges even before they manifest in production. In support of this model, I Holland

requires our technical sales team be extremely competent in the tablet manufacturing process, specially tooling design and specification, to allow for the effective communication of technical solutions to an exacting customer base. The ultimate objective of the TSM role is to generate sales growth of all I Holland products and services through the creation of new opportunities and building customers’ loyalty combining direct activity and sound management of agent networks. The successful candidate will have 4 main areas of responsibility:

 

 

  • Troubleshooting complex technical manufacturing issues, becoming the ‘Go-To’ technical resource for I Holland customers in the delivery of value- add engineering
  • The creation and execution of a plan to generate growth and new business within the I Holland strategic vision of value-add engineering
  • The management and support of allocated agents to create an effective, motivated and successful partnership
  • The effective communication with all stakeholders (customers, agents and related functions within our company) to achieve mutual goals

 

It is a truly international role that requires extensive travelling for face-to-face discussions, approx. 40% of the time, within the area of responsibility.

 

 

The candidates

We expect candidates for these roles to have an extremely positive and can-do attitude, a strong work ethic, sense of urgency, problem-solving ability, and a deep understanding of the cultural differences between countries. Some of the qualifications and skills that we are looking for are:

 

  • Engineering degree (BSME preferred) or demonstrated equivalent technical capabilities
  • Foreign language skills at negotiation level
  • Five (5) years field sales or technical support experience
  • Satisfactory test results in qualification process
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal communications skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer / IT systems skills
  • Desire to grow within the organisation
  • Previous experience of working with agents

Job Title:          Health Safety & CI Manager

Reports to:      Director of Manufacturing

Location:          Long Eaton, Nottingham


Job Purpose


To act as the Company Health and Safety Manager ensuring Business compliance with Health and Safety legislation. To make sure that Health and Safety risk assessments are up to date carrying out regular audits across the company to identify areas of risk and non-compliance, with the purpose of implementing appropriate corrective actions.


To lead and implement improvement activities, increasing manufacturing and business performance. Using structured problem resolution tools and techniques, coupled with engineering application and facilitation skills to deliver tangible benefits.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities


  • Ensure business compliance with HS&E legislation
  • Manage the business Health and Safety system
  • Prepare risk assessments for all areas of the Business
  • Lead improvement activity to reduce HS&E risks
  • Implementation of Health and Safety related corrective actions
  • Lead waste and defect reduction activities in a high precision engineering environment using Lean tools including Error Proofing/ SMED/ 6S etc
  • Resolve problems at pace with structed problem resolution and root cause analysis tools and techniques, such as 3C/ 8D/ 5 Why/ Ishikawa
  • Improve manufacturing process capability through application of sound engineering principles e.g. SPC
  • Eliminate non-value added activities to reduce lead times
  • Lead by example, using best practice problem resolution approaches to upskill the wider workforce

General Operator – CNC Turner

 

The successful candidate should have:

  • A strong CNC Turning background
  • Milling experience with Mori Seiki machines is desirable
  • Experience in basic programming, setting and operating
  • A good understanding of Fanuc controls
  • Be fully competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Experience working with tight tolerances
  • Experience on a variety of measuring equipment (micrometres, verniers and various gauges)
  • A flexible attitude to work
 
Hours of work – AM (6am to 2pm) and PM (2pm to 10pm) shifts Monday – Friday (39 hours per week)

This role is suited to a time served, experienced machinist due to the technical nature of the processes used and products being manufactured.

Pay and benefits – The starting rate for this position is £10.87 per hour, representing 95% of the starting rate for this position. On successful completion of the probationary period the hourly rate will increase to £11.44 per hour with average shift premiums of 18%.

Other benefits include: Profit Related Pay, 33 day’s holiday, contributory pension, life assurance, free eye testing and free parking.

General Operator – Centreless Grinding

 

The successful candidate should have:

 

  • Previous surface grinding experience ideally gained on both manual and CNC machines and any other types of grinding or turning skills
  • Be fully competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Experience working with tight tolerances
  • Good housekeeping skills and strict adherence to procedures/work instructions, particularly relating to accurate measurement will also be required for this role.
  • Due to the nature of the shifts the successful applicant must be capable of working unsupervised, by able to use their own initiative to solve problems and self motivated to meet the necessary targets on output and quality. 
  • A flexible attitude to work

Hours of work – 3 shift system AM/PM/Nights (39 hours per week)
Pay and benefits – The starting rate for this position is £10.87 per hour, representing 95% of the starting rate for this position. On successful completion of the probationary period the hourly rate will increase to £11.44 per hour. There will be 18% shift premium when working mornings or afternoons and 33.3% when working nights shifts.
