General Operator – Milling

 

The successful candidate should have:

  • A strong CNC milling background (previous experience of Mori Seiki and Haas machines is desirable)
  • A good understanding of Fanuc control systems
  • Experience setting and operating is mandatory, programming is desirable
  • Be fully competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings
  • Experience working with tight tolerances
  • Experience on a variety of measuring equipment (micrometres, verniers and various gauges)
  • A flexible attitude to work
 

Hours of work: 3 shift system AM/PM/Nights (39 hours per week) you will be required to be flexible at all times, as you may also be required to work alternative shifts to include a 24/7 shift work pattern dependent on business demands.

Finance Assistant
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Posting cash daily for all bank accounts
  • Process Sales Admin queries, with regards to credit checks, credit limits etc and maintaining the data in NAV on the sales order & customer card is always accurate.
  • Posting cash book journals
  • Overdue debt chasing
  • Run Daily Order Book report and issue daily, with full understanding of how the report works and its structure
  • Commission postings daily into NAV
  • Commission statements issued and reconciliations
  • National Statistics Forms for the business
  • Reporting to HMRC & national statistics
  • VAT returns
  • Deferred income journals
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Posting sales invoices daily into the system
  • Accruals, prepayments and payroll journals
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
  • Audit preparation and support
  • Payroll processing/journals and P32 reconciliations
  • Pension administration
  • Any other ad hoc task requested by FC and/or MA
  • Additional support functions for purchasing, purchase ledger and despatch.

Design Engineer
 
Key responsibilities:
 
  • As part of the CSG team, liaising with customers and agents to fully understand the customer requirements for the manufacture of their tablets and the tooling/machinery used for this process.

  • Providing the technical input to the sales ordering process by liaising with the customer in ‘designing out ’ any potential tabletting problems to produce an optimum punch tabletting face for the highest quality tablet and trouble free production.

  • Using the appropriate software, produce clear and accurate working drawings (tablet & tooling) to enable tooling/components to be effectively manufactured according to specification requirements.

  • Investigating customer returns/claims to ensure continuous improvement in the design process

  • On request produce drawings/diagrams for specification manuals and documents, marketing work and procedures.

  • Adhere to all systems and procedures for production and quality control.

  • Work within all Health and Safety, environmental and disciplinary guidelines.

Purchasing Support Apprentice
 
 

Key responsibilities:

  • Research and identification of alternative supply chains for key products
  • Approval of new Suppliers
  • Provide Supplier Certificates of Analysis to customers
  • Provide Supplier Certificates of Conformity to customers
  • Provide Supplier MSDS Certificates to customers
  • Provide Supplier Product Compliance Statements to customers
  • Auditing of suppliers
  • Approval of Technical Specification for new ‘bought in’ products
  • Maintenance of our supplier database (Navision)

The successful candidate should have:

 

  • An active interest in manufacturing
  • Ability to learn how to interpret engineering drawings and technical reports
  • Proactive approach to process development and the implementation of continuous Improvements to drive better performance
  • Team player, flexible with hours of work with excellent communication skills
  • To contribute effectively as part of a larger team but also to be able to use own initiative when working alone
  • Be adaptable and be willing to go the extra mile to meet tight deadlines
  • Eagerness to learn and adaptive in approach
  • Ability to work independently
