Runner Up for Apprentice of the Year & Dedication to Apprenticeship Award

On Thursday, 9th March 2017, Learning Unlimited Derby hosted its first annual Apprenticeship Awards where I Holland’s Jack Tillotson was shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year as well as the Dedication to Apprenticeship Award.

Since joining I Holland over three years ago, Jack Tillotson has shown on numerous occasions that he will go above and beyond with both his studies at Chesterfield College and workload at I Holland.

Jack’s main role within the business is as a Quality Technician in a small quality department where his fresh approach to problem-solving is always embraced as this is a key attribute to a good quality technician. One such example is that he has recently completely redesigned the whole gauge calibration system that I Holland had been using for over 20 years.

On top of his dedication to his work at I Holland, Jack has achieved the required results in his studies and has responded well to all learning targets set forth by our Quality Systems Manager, Rob Blanchard. During his advanced apprenticeship program, Jack has also excelled in process specific training. He is now a qualified ISO9001:2015 internal auditor with accreditation from the British Standards Institute. Furthermore, he has passed all the required advanced CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) training modules that he has been enrolled in.

Looking forward, Jack is now enlisted on an HNC and Degree course and will undertake an HND or Mechanical Engineering Degree Course at University in his future.

We are all very proud of what Jack has achieved and look forward to watching him grow further.
